Salisbury, on the ex-L&SWR main line from Waterloo to Exeter, is an important railway junction with services on the cross country route between Westbury and Southampton crossing the main line traffic.
This simulation is based on the pre-1963 layout, recreating the age of steam, when operating was much more complex than today. Most through trains changed locos here, so many loco movements are required. There is the further challenge provided by the milk trains and other freight traffic and also attaching/detaching coaches from trains, including the famous Atlantic Coast Express.
The 1952 timetable which is provided includes full details of loco numbers/names, featuring a range of Ex-Southern and GWR classes.
