Located on the Northampton loop of the West Coast Main Line, Northampton is 66 miles north of London Euston and 18 miles south of Rugby.
As well as the regular passenger services, all WCML freight traffic including container trains is routed via Northampton. The simulation includes the Kings Heath EMU maintenance depot, freight depot, the Bridge St branch and various sidings.
The timetable provided is for 1987 weekdays and is not too demanding, though there are some loco run-rounds and shunting to be done.
