Halwill Junction was the meeting place of four single lines, serving rural Devon and North Cornwall. This new Heritage simulation faithfully recreates a bygone age of steam-hauled branch line trains and semaphore signals.
Though certainly not hectic, this is a thoroughly enjoyable simulation. A great introduction to Heritage signalling too.
It was place of contrasts, with seemingly nobody about apart from the signalman and a couple of porters but as soon as the block bells started to ring out, the station came alive and things went into overdrive.
Extensively updated version March 2021, now including working level crossing, FPL's, proper interlocking between the signalbox and the groundframe and provision for hand signalled movements.
